Summer Vacation Ideas

My blog this semester is about the best places to go during each month, however, I think it would be extremely ironic for me to write about that because of this whole COVID-19 situation. Instead, I will list out four of the best places to go for summer vacation. Hopefully, this will give people something to look forward to through this pandemic. The vibe has definitely been weird. I’ve been on my computer all week doing this eLearning stuff, staying up late watching TV, and sleeping in until noon. While it’s been nice, I’ve never been more bored in my life. Any other day I would kill to sleep in and do whatever, but the fact that I’m being forced to do so makes matters worse. Anyways enjoy my blog :-)

The Maldives

The Maldives is a small island in South Asia. It’s located in the Arabian Sea and lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India. If you’re looking for a tropical get-a-way then this is your place! The crystal-clear, blue water is not something you want to miss. Many visitors go to the many remote atolls. Atolls are a ring-shaped coral reef that surrounds a lagoon. The Maldives is a top surfing destination. The most popular spots are in the North and South Male’ Atolls. Each one of these atolls has luxurious resorts that offer numerous activities such as swimming with manta rays and whale sharks. Some recommended resorts are AYADA Maldives, Kurumba Maldives, and Soneva Fushi.

Bora Bora, Tahiti

Bora Bora is a small South Pacific island northwest of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Due to its beautiful location, it’s known for its scuba diving. Bora Bora is also a very popular luxury resort destination. When I’m old I’m going to live in a bungalow over crystal blue waters. There’s quite a lot to do here. You can do a bunch of fun water sports, go kayaking or hiking, and even go diving with sharks. It’s no wonder why Bora Bora is the top honeymoon destination! Some recommended resorts are The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island, and Conrad Bora Bora Nui.

St. Barts, The Caribbean

Saint Barthelemy, commonly known as St. Barts, is a Caribbean island. It’s known for its white-sand beaches and designer shops. The top beaches are Saline Beach, Gouverneur Beach, and Lorient. There are so many activities to here as well, such as: snorkeling, diving, kite-surfing, kayaking, fishing, surfing, and sailing. The top-rated hotel here is the Hotel Le Toiny, however, there are so many more available. St. Barts has a lot to offer, however, this destination is extremely pricey.

Port Douglas, Australia

Port Douglas is a town north of Queensland, Australia. It's known for its beach resorts and ecosystems. Port Douglas is a great destination for nature lovers because it’s home to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. It’s surrounded by trees, shops, cafes, and beaches. Many people come here to go on reef trips and wilderness safaris. The winter season is the best time to visit because temperatures are cooler and drier.
