February Favorites

Happy February!

Welcome back to my blog and happy February everyone! For this blog, I’m going to be doing something a little different. Instead of showing you one place that you should visit during February, I’m going to list different places. Of course, I’ll share some information about each place that way you know where you’re actually going and what it has to offer. February is a really awkward month, at least for me, because the weather doesn’t know what to do. The groundhog either tells us we’re going to have a longer winter or an earlier spring, but for us Midwesterners, it’s all the same weather. I for one always end up getting sick during this time of year, so knowing where to vacation during this month is something I would want to know. Anyways, enough rambling, let’s get on to where you should plan your next vacation!

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hoi An, Vietnam

This resort is located on tropical gardens along the East Sea. It stretches across Hoi, an ancient town, and Cau Chua Pagoda. If you just want to relax at the resort all day, that’s certainly an option! However, there are many things to do here besides relaxing at the resort. You can visit An Bang Beach, which is lined with trees and has white sand. There are palapas, lounge chairs, and lots of places to eat. It’s about 9 minutes away from the resort, which is extremely convenient. Another place to visit is The Marble Mountains, a network of 5 marble mountains with multiple caves, temples, and viewing outlooks. A beautiful sight to see is the Japanese Covered Bridge. This landmark is an 18th-century wooden bridge with lots of elaborate carvings. Be sure to visit the Hoi An Ancient Town to look at all the foreign architecture; you can also go shopping at the market. Another beach to visit is the Cua Dai Beach, which is 13 minutes away. Prices for this hotel are around $16,275 since it is highly rated.

Palm Beach, Florida

If traveling all the way to Vietnam isn’t your style, fear not because West Palm Beach in Florida is another place to visit during this month! The weather here is always nicer than Peoria and there a lot of events being held during this month. ArtiGras is an event where you can enjoy fine art from 300 national and local artists. This event takes place from February 17-19 in downtown Abacoa. There will be live entertainment, artist demonstrations, and interactive art activities for all ages. If you want to do something special for Valentines, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket Strawberry Festival is just the thing for you. On February 10, you can try freshly made strawberry shortcakes and visit a bunch of local vendors. Of course, you can always find a hotel and enjoy the beautiful beaches Florida has to offer!

Meribel, France

February is a popular and fun-packed month for those who visit Meribel. The weather usually consists of sunny days and lots of snowfall. Meribel is known for its snow slopes and skiing, and there are plenty of places to do so. Since I focused on skiing in my last blog, I want to show that Meribel has many other things offer. You can explore the summits on foot and enjoy the restaurants that are there. You can also sightsee by taking a trip in a light aircraft, which can get even higher above the Alps. In terms of entertainment, you can watch the cabaret at La Folie Douce. If you want to explore the mountains, you can spend the evening in a mountain refuge. There are also horse-drawn sleighs to discover Meribel, which seems like the coolest way to get around. However, if you aren’t the outdoor type be sure to check out some of the hotels. Maisons Pariente is a French luxury hotel that is sure to have you pampered.

Thanks!

That’s all for now, be sure to check out some of these places along with some other locations. Hopefully, you have some inspiration to stay warm and get out of Peoria!
